Synopsis24 is an innovative television drama, where the entire series takes place in one day. Each of the 24 episodes covers one hour, told in real time (with the exception of the unfortunate commercial breaks).

SEASON 1: (Dolby Surround) The first episode begins at midnight on the day of the California Presidential Primary. Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) heads up the governments Counter-Terrorist Unit. He discovers that theres going to be an assassination attempt on Senator Palmer (Dennis Haysbert), an African-American presidential candidate. Bauer faces a battle against the clock to avert disaster.
The series follows several characters as they live through a day that none of them will forget. For Kimberly (Elisha Cuthbert) a night on the town takes an unexpected turn. Teri (Leslie Hope) sets out to find Kimberly and encounters more danger than she ever imagined possible. Senator Palmer, unaware theres going to be an attempt on his life, faces the threat of a long buried scandal resurfacing. Meanwhile, Jack, with help from his Chief-of-Staff Nina Myers (Sarah Clarke), is charged with the responsibility of stopping the assassination. But who can he trust, when it appears a rogue element inside the Agency is in on the hit.
SEASON 2: (Dolby Digital 5.1) Eighteen months after the assassination attempt on his life, Senator Palmer (Dennis Haysbert, Far From Heaven) has been elected to the White House. Enjoying a relaxing day at his country retreat, he is informed by agents that there is a potential threat to national security.
The LA Counter Terrorist Unit (CTU) are informed of the threat and told to be on high alert. Department head, George Mason (Xander Berkeley, Gattaca) finds himself reluctantly having to call upon the services of retired Special Agent Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland, Phone Booth). CTU have been tipped off that a nuclear bomb is set to detonate somewhere in Los Angeles within the next 24 hours.
Jack has been living alone, dishevelled, downhearted and haunted by the memory of his late wife Teri. Daughter Kim (Elisha Cuthbert, Old School) is also finding it hard to come to terms with her mother's death and has found herself a job as a nanny for the Matheson family, looking after their nine-year-old daughter Megan. Kim thinks that her boss Gary (Billy Burke) has been abusing his wife so she flees with Megan only for him to chase after them and threaten Kim herself.

SEASON 3: (Dolby Digital 5.1) Season three, set three years after the end of Season two, finds Jack Baurer, who has spent several months deep under cover, returning to the Counter Terrorism Unit (CTU). The mystery of President Palmer's fate after being exposed to a potentially lethal toxin at the end of season two and its aftershocks will be revealed. The series also features Tony Almeida (Carlos Bernard) now the Los Angeles Director of CTU, and Michelle essler (Reiko Aylesworth), his chief confidante in the organistation. This season introduces Chase Edmunds (James Badge Dale), a young CTU agent, who suddenly finds himself not only looking up to Jack, but working alongside him as well.

SEASON 4: After the explosion of a commuter train, Jack, who is now working for Secretary of Defense James Heller (William Devane), and who is also romantically involved with Heller's married daughter, Audrey Raines (Kim Raver), suddenly finds himself heading back to CTU for a meeting with Driscoll.
Jack believes that the train explosion is a prelude to bigger things to come...

SEASON 5: 12 months have passed since Jack Bauer stole away across the train tracks after faking his own death. He's now living a quiet life in Bakersfield California, with a new name, a new identity and with a new love interest and her teenage son. However, when someone begins hunting down the only people who know he's still alive, Jack Bauer must return to Los Angeles and confront his past, and another day of work as America's most dangerous counter-terrorist agent.
